On December 19th 2009, The Brass Armadillo Antique Mall in Denver had its first “Name Your Own Price” event. To describe the event in one word: SUCCESSFUL!!!

As manager of the mall I have never felt as much pride in my dealers, customers and staff as I did that day. The dealers showed up in great numbers to participate. We had close to half the dealers attend throughout the day. The dealers conducted themselves in friendly and professional manner. They enjoyed their meals and strengthened their sense of community.

Our customers also turned out in great numbers. We had over 1,900 people attend that day. A few customers expressed how much they enjoyed meeting and conversing with dealers they have bought from for years. Many great deals were struck, but even more amazing, were the number of customers that simply wanted information about item(s) that sparked their interest. It has been my belief for a while that The Brass Armadillo is more than an antique store. It is a community of dealers, collectors and enthusiasts. In today’s world, community is more important than ever. I believe that “The Name Your Own Price” event strengthens and empowers our community, and I invite those who missed it on December 19th to join us for the next one.
